About Kamata Masjid
By the grace of Almighty Allah, the roots of kamata Masjid date back to the year 2001 when a small mosallah was established by the Muslim brothers living in the area. The Mosalla was founded by our honorable brothers Shahjahan Siddiqi and brother Maksud. May Allah bless them for their great efforts to do so.
Importance of a Masjid at Kamata
There is no other Masjid/ Mosallah in this part of Tokyo that could effectively cater to the religious needs of the increasing number of Muslim brothers and sisters. The present monthly rented Mosallah is not large enough to accommodate 50 people at a time. We have to pray Jummah prayer in batches, thanks to those brothers for being endurance and supporting us. Also we do not have enough room/ arrangement to accommodate our sisters for Jummah/ Daily prayer in Jamat due to lack of adequate space.
We needed to find a new place large enough to hold the brothers who are coming for prayer from near and far and also arrange space for our sisters. The present Mosallah, of about 35 square meters, is extremely small for us. During the Jummah prayer every Friday, brothers have to pray on the stairways and some others have to wait outside.
Day by day the real estate in this part of Japan becomes more expensive. So we need to act quickly. As of now we are collecting donations for Kamata Mashjid project by visiting others Mashjids in Japan. We have not been able to collect enough funds to buy own building. Accordingly, we are forced to rent in a month-to-month lease.
The market value of a building, in this city center, area ranges from 40 ml yen to 50 ml yen. By the Mercy of Almighty Allah, the Mosallah has about 8 ml yen, collected in donations; therefore, some of the options to consider are:
- To collect at least 40 ml yen (or as much more as possible) to buy a building in this city center
- To find someone who could buy the building and so we could lease from him with the option to buy throughout the years.
- To collect at least 15 ml yen to buy a office apartment in this city center to accommodate 100+ brothers and sisters for Jummah/ Daily/ Tarawih/ Eid-Ul-Fitr/ Eid-Ul-Adha prayer and later to collect funds (40 ml yen to 50 ml yen) to buy a Masjid building in the city center.
By donating please help to build the House of Allah in this part of Japan for our children and future generations. Inshallah Almighty Allah will reward us.
The Holy Prophet (SAW) on the importance of masjids
- O ye people, praise Allah. Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah, The Exalted, shall build a house for such a one in paradise.
- To Allah, the most adored places are the mosques and the most undesirable places are market places.
- Mosques are the houses of Allah and those believers who enter therein are the guests of Allah.
- Those who visit the mosques in darkness convey to them the good news that Allah shall bestow upon them from Himself perfect light on the day of judgment.
- Those who visit the mosques in darkness convey to them the good news that Allah shall bestow upon them from Himself perfect light on the day of judgment.
- For him who makes his ablutions at home and then walks to one of the houses of Allah to discharge his obligations imposed on him by Allah, one single step of his towards the mosque wipes out a sin and next step raises his status.
- Whenever anyone of you enters a mosque let him pray that “O Allah open up for me the doors of Thy Mercy”; and whenever anyone from among you leaves a mosque, let him pray ” O Allah, I seek from Thee Thy blessings”. Of all the buildings the most beautiful and attractive in Allah’s sight is a Mosque.
